Myth One has a cylindrical shape, however, to facilitate the use and integration and improve the self-tapping ability, the 3 mm device features a portion where the outer diameter and the diameter of the body follow a slight taper.

Cylindrical implant “one”

The profile of the Myth One device is constant along the whole length. For the d3,25 mm and d4 mm system, the shape is 0,35 mm high and 0,6 mm pitch while for the d5mm system the shape is 0,55 mm high and 0,75 mm pitch. The shape Myth One profile is atraumatic and self threading, despite the fact that the crest is not very high and provides a good primary stability.

Packaging included in the package also the straight abutment

The special Myth® packaging includes a blister, aplastic vial, a titanium protection and a cover screw. The “primary container” blister is hermetically sealedthrough thermo soldering while the “secondary container” vial is hermetically sealed through twomedical silicon caps. The cover screw is in the cap, external to the vial and to be removed it is screwedoff. In the packaging, the device is inside a titanium protective cylinder that prevents the devicesurface from possible polluting contaminant particles. On the packaging there is the name ofthe item that identifies the kind of device, whether it is conical or cylindrical and a labeling that providesinformation about the size of the diameter, the length, the batch number, the date of manufacturingand the date of sterilization expiration date.

Myth® is made of titanium grade 4. Titanium has a relativedensity of 4,5 g/cm3 and a very low thermal conductivity. It ischaracterized by a very high strength of materials and theelongation at break at 12%. The elastic modulus is relativelylow and similar to that of bones. Titanium grade 4 has the best global characteristics of all the pure titanium varieties (grades)combining the workability and, consequently, precision typicalof low degrees, with the higher degrees superior to mechanicalfeatures. The most important characteristics of this metal arethe high corrosion resistance and the high biocompatibility.
